Welcome to LMT Academy. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our tutoring platform, services, and related features.
By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. Nature of the Platform
LMT Academy is an online tutoring platform that connects students and parents with independent tutors for educational services.
We provide the technology, scheduling tools, and communication systems that allow tutors and students to connect. We do not guarantee academic performance, grades, or outcomes.
Tutors are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, or representatives of the Platform.
2. Eligibility
To use the Platform:
You must be at least 18 years old, or
You must have permission from a parent or legal guardian
You must provide accurate and complete registration information
Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising minors using the Platform.
3. User Accounts
When creating an account, you agree that:
Your information is accurate and truthful
You will keep your login credentials secure
You are responsible for all activity under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
4. Tutor Status and Responsibility
Tutors on the Platform are independent contractors.
Tutors:
Control their own schedule, pricing, and teaching methods
Are responsible for delivering their tutoring services
Are responsible for their own taxes, legal obligations, and compliance
The Platform is not responsible for the actions, conduct, or performance of tutors.
5. Booking and Payments
All bookings and payments must be made through the Platform unless otherwise permitted.
By booking a session, you agree to:
Pay the full listed price
Authorize the Platform to process payments
Follow the tutor's availability and schedule
The Platform may charge service fees or commissions as applicable.
All payments are final unless covered under the cancellation or refund policy.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Students or parents must cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before the session.
If cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before the session:
The tutor may charge the full session fee
Tutors may reschedule due to emergencies and will provide reasonable notice.
7. Refund Policy
Refunds may be issued at the Platform's discretion in cases such as:
Tutor absence
Technical failure caused by the Platform
Duplicate or incorrect charges
Refunds are not guaranteed for dissatisfaction with academic outcomes.
8. User Conduct
Users agree NOT to:
Harass, threaten, or abuse others
Use offensive, inappropriate, or illegal content
Attempt to bypass the Platform's payment system
Share account access with others
Interfere with the Platform's operation or security
Violations may result in account suspension or permanent termination.
9. Platform Role and Limitation
The Platform acts only as a technology provider connecting tutors and students.
We do not guarantee:
Tutor availability
Tutor performance
Academic results
Continuous or uninterrupted access
The Platform is not responsible for disputes between tutors and students.
10. Intellectual Property
All Platform content, including logos, branding, design, and software, is owned by or licensed to LMT Academy.
Users may not copy, distribute, or reuse Platform content without written permission.
Tutors retain ownership of their own teaching materials unless agreed otherwise.
11. Privacy
Your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information for providing services.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform shall not be liable for:
Academic performance or results
Tutor conduct or actions
Indirect or consequential damages
Technical interruptions or failures
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user in the last 30 days.
13. Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:
Violate these Terms
Engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior
Harm the Platform or its users
Users may stop using the Platform at any time.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page.
Continued use of the Platform after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
